Mission Statement

Girl Scouts of USA is the world's largest organization dedicated to helping all girls everywhere build character and gain skills for success in the real world. The JHU chapter of Girl Scouts of America is established in order to spread the goals and positive message of the organization in an area of demonstrated need, namely inner city Baltimore. The group is composed of former girl scouts who demonstrate leadership and are enthusiastic about spreading the fundamental aspects of Girl Scouting. The presense of Girl Scouting in the lives of Baltimore girls will serve to divert some of the harsh realities of city life and promote a sense of promise in the future as they grow into young women.
