Alumni Association Grants
The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association offers grants for community service and student service project5s for undergraduates and graduate students. This opportunity may be of interest to CSC groups who have fundable projects that do not meet the requirements set by the France-Merrick Foundation. For example, Vision X could pursue programming funding for one of their Hopkins Idol or Top Model events.
The maximum funding for both grants is $1500. Applications are online at www.alumni.jhu.edu/students
Solutions Through Service
The "Solutions Through Service" Conference for students involved with service will take place at UMBC on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 9 am -3 pm. Apply for $500 grants to either start your own community action project or to fund a project that you already started. Awards are given out weekly.
Apply for a Math for America Fellowship
A Math for America Fellow:
- Receives a full-tuition scholarship for a master's degree in mathematics education
- Earns a New York State Teaching Certificate
- Receives a $90,000 stipend over five years in addition to a competitive salary as a New York City secondary school math teacher
